Yep, I work here on the Southbank all week but couldn’t resist coming up town to check out the Telectroscope and the Mountain Bike Freeriding outside the Tate Modern.
The Telectroscope was pretty disappointing - it’s just the a big web-cam… and it could of had audio? I like the concept, the way that on day one there was a huge drill bit poking out the ground, and then the next day this giant ‘Jules Verne’ style telescope was there. When we were there it was too early in NY and the only people looking at us were a couple of joggers and a woman holding a placard with ‘London Rocks’.
The Mountain Biking Freeriding was great, especially with the backdrop of the Tate and some of the street art on the walls. My older boy who is 4 an into extreme sports loved it… the riders were catching some big air, pretty awesome.
