My name is Peter Gough and I am the founder and Creative Director at Or Media. We are a creative digital agency based in Bermondsey Street, London SE1.
My background is graphic design, specifically within the music industry. I had been involved setting up a music print-packaging company and a record label before I went it alone and set up Or Media in 1999.
At the time I wanted to start working on what we were calling ‘multimedia’, such as websites, cd-roms etc. I remember playing around with some early sites around ‘96 thinking what a great medium this would be to design for as the majority of sites were still lacking in creativity. I was already into my technology… I’ve been using Apple Macs since ‘91 and before that had PC’s, Spectrums – and it all started when an uncle who showed me a ZX80 when I was 10.
Blimey, it’s gone and changed quite a bit since then… and the word multimedia isn’t exactly a buzz word anymore.
So zooming back to 2008… this is where I will share my views on what’s going on at Or Media and the industry we work in. Enjoy!
